Fairy Island is a puzzle game in which you must help Ariana save the fairies that were imprisoned inside magical diamond stones by pirates. The game includes three modes: Story, Timed and Continuous. In the story mode, you save the fairies while you uncover the story and play mini-games. In timed mode you have 5 minutes to do your best and get as far as you can. And finally, in Continuous mode, you start from the first level and play without time limit, passing through all levels.
All modes feature four kinds of games that are unlocked as you play and then you will be able to choose what type of game you want to play in order to advance to the next checkpoint on the map. The first one is the Normal mode, in which you must break all the fairy tokens by breaking groups of at least 3 adjacent tokens of the same color. You must break 5 fairy tokens (the ones that have a glowing diamond on them) to save 5 fairies and finish the level. The other modes are lock, shifter, and puzzle and have all distinctive rules.
Regarding the graphics, they are colorful and nice. Sound effects are cool and the music is nice, but repetitive.
In short, Fairy Island is a puzzle game that offers multiple gameplay options and definitely deserves a try. |
